Bio

Final rites for William P. Husband, of Oklahoma City, were held Sunday, August 31, at 2 p.m. in the Dunn Funeral chapel. Rev. Jim House, of Davis, was in charge of the services. Pallbearers were Charles McBee, Jeff Chadwick, Earnest Hicks, Jack O'Gwin, John Crouse and Eskro Chadwick. Burial was in the Lowrance Cemetery with arrangements by the Dunn Funeral Home. Husband was born April 19, 1884 in Wise County, Texas. He moved from Sulphur to Greggton, Texas in 1936. He had lived in Oklahoma City since 1941. He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist church. He died August 18 at 2:30 a.m. in Oklahoma City at the age of 76. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lona Husband, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Williams, of Tompoc, California; six sons, Herbert, Joe, Paul, Wayne, James and Kenneth Husband, all of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Birdie Holder, of Oklahoma City and Grace Powers, of Ardmore; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
