Services for Johnnie Wayne Ingram, 74, of Temple will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. Burial will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with military honors. Mr. Ingram died Friday, March 5, in Temple hospital. He was born on Feb. 17, 1936, to Ed Ingram and Jimmie Jewel Reed in Dallas. He served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. During his 21 years in the military he served in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. His decorations include Good Conduct Medal; Army Occupation Medal (Berlin); National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Mechanics Badge with bar; Army Commendation Medal; China Service Medal; and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm. On Jan. 18, 1958, he married Juanita Pearl McBride in Durant, Okla. He retired on June 30, 1975 from the Army and in 1992 retired from Mobil Chemical in Temple. Survivors include his wife of Temple; two sons, Aaron W. Ingram of Belton and David S. Ingram of Temple; a brother, Bill Ingram of Wills Point; a sister, Sue Jordan of Athens; a half-sister, Lavita Mitchell of Plfugerville; and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 2604 S. Ave. M, Temple, 76502. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
