Full Name: Charlie Fern Garth, Sr He was born in Tennessee I do not have a state death notice for him but SSDI says that he was residing in Sabine Parrish, Louisiana. He was the son of Amos Paine Crutcher Garth and Amanda Louise Sanders. Garth, 99, Manny, Louisiana, former resident of Stinnett and Borger, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Muleshoe Cemetery with Rev. Barry Bradley, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. He died at 1:30 a.m. December 29 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Manny, La. He moved to Manny in 1981 from Muleshoe. He had previously lived in this area. He was born in Tennessee and married Martha Beulah Burns. She preceded him in death on May 1, 1965. He was preceded also by several children and a great granddaughter. He was a dairyman and a member of the First Baptist Church, Muleshoe and a senior citizens organization. He also received a letter from President Reagan on his 99th birthday. Survivors include two sons, Lester of Santa Rosa, Calif., and C.F. Jr. of Lometa, Calif.; three daughters, Syble Gregory of Borger; Betty Pauline Williams, Manny and Florence Harvey, Clovis, N.m. [sic]; two sisters, Lyda Brixey, Bonneville, Ark., and Sally Harris, Dallas; three brothers, Fred and Herbert, both of Lewisville, Louie of Texarkana; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 50 great-great grandchildren.
