Bio

n 1873 John W Wright, born about 1856 married Minnie (Winnie) Josephine Wilson in Johnson County, Texas. Then, in 1875 he was sentenced to two years in prison in Huntsville, and escaped in August of 1875. Then - in 1879, Winnie married John W East. (I dont have a certificate - the date came from the 1900 census showing them married for 21 years). Living with them in 1880 is "Harvey Wright", likely the son of John and Winnie before John was convicted. In April, 1878, John W Wright in Bell county married Elizabeth Pennington. Another man, Sampson McGehee, who was sent to huntsville at the same time as John W Wright, was married in Coryelle County in 1878 as well. THIS IS FROM THE WORK OF ANOTHER FIND A GRAVE member.
