Richard Larry Leshikar, 71, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, in Arlington. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, with a memorial service immediately following at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2021 New York Ave., in Arlington. Richard was born in Taylor, Texas, to the late Frank and Sophie Mikeska Leshikar. He served for four years in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany. Richard moved to Arlington and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He worked for General Motors and retired after 31 years of service. Richard then worked for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club for seven years. He was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed playing dominoes and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Margaret Leshikar; step-son, Ken Arnold, of Oklahoma; son-in-law, Russell Coe and Sharon Sherman, of Arlington; grandchildren, Montana and husband, John, of College Station, Taylor, Tarrant and Victoria Coe, of Arlington, Jeremy and wife, Heather, of Arlington, and Brandon and wife, Sarah, of Arlington; great-grandchildren, L.J. and Wynona, of College Station; brother, Larry Leshikar and wife, Twila, of Waco; and niece, Amanda Leshikar, of Waco.
