Bio

Mrs. Mamie E. Smith, 90, of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born in Toyah, Texas, on Nov. 29, 1912, to Thomas Jefferson (T.J.) Malone and Pearl (Creighton) Malone. On Oct. 12, 1937, she married Phillip Parker Smith in Yuma, Ariz. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2001. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church in Kerrville. She is survived by one brother, Louie Scott Malone; nephews, Walter Scott Malone, Robert Austin and Deke Austin; and nieces, Susan Waters, Ann Smith and Jeanne Hurt. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
