DECATUR - G.A. Clark, 69, of Decatur died 4:30 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) in his residence with all of his family by his side. Friends and family may gather from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be at a later date. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice or Illinois Rapture Center, 5695 W. Hill Road, Decatur, IL 62522. Mr. Clark was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Arthur, the son of George and Helen Behn Clark. He owned and operated G.A. Clark Construction Co. and worked 13 years for Decatur Housing Authority. Mr. Clark was a Marine veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the 32nd Degree Masons, Loyal Order of Moose and Elks Club. He married Erma Dipper Feb. 24, 1967. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Cathy Clark of Decatur; sons, Gregory and wife Debbie of Fairfax, Va.; Brian and wife Gail of Oakley; Brett of Decatur; and Bradley and Lauri of Decatur; grandchildren, Andrew, Emilie, Austin, Lucas, Olivia, Mason and Madeline; stepdaughters, Christina Collier of Morton; Suzan Boyd Sellers of Columbia, S.C.; and Rebecca Boyd Florence of St. Charles, Mo.; stepgrandsons, Michael Burns and Adam Sellers; sisters, Barbara Finch of Decatur; Betty Hayes of California.
