Charles was born in Ennis on May 5,1918 to Charles Ellevan Sr and Frantiska(Frances)(Janku)Elleven who immigrated from Hungary and Moravia respectfully. Charles enlisted in the US Army in 1936. He served in WWII in Aleutian Islands of Alaska and Europe, he participated in the Battle of Anzio Beach winning Sliver Star and other medals of valor. He served in the Army over 30 years. After his Army stint he taught school at various Texas locations. He was proceded in death by his parents,brothers,Frank,Joe,and John,sister Annastazie,ex-wife Josephine,daughters Frances,and Josephine. He is survived by his brother Jerry Elleven,and sisters Bessie Laznovsky and Mildred Torres and many grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Charles was a member of serveral Czech organizations in Ennis including being a member of Czech Hertage Society. Charlie will be greatly missed by all that ever knew him for his great personality.
