Mildred Leone Williamson - Perkins, age 87, of Austin, Minnesota died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Comforcare Good Samaritan in Austin. She was born July 8, 1922, in Bemidji, Minnesota, the daughter of Guy Earl and Martha (Vale) Ellenbaum. Her family moved to the Rochester area where Mildred grew up and received her education. In her youth, Mildred often sang and read poetry on KROC radio in Rochester. She enjoyed playing the guitar and accordion. In 1942, she married William Isidor Williamson. They made their home in Northern Wisconsin, before moving to Austin to raise their family. William died on July 25, 1975. On December 15, 1978, Mildred married Edwin Perkins. They made their home in Albert Lea for ten years, before moving back to Austin. They were later divorced. Mildred worked as a CNA for the Burr Oak Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses and loved to raise flowers, especially her roses. Survivors include; six children, Richard (Vicki) Williamson of Greeley, Colorado, Betty (Gary) Byers of Pueblo West, Colorado, Douglas (Kim) Williamson of Austin, David Williamson of Adams, Charles (Marsha) Williamson of Austin, Geri Magda of Austin; one son-in-law, Paul Ulwelling of Dexter; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three daughters, Carol Cumpian, Gloria Jean Huffman and Mary Ulwelling; a grandson, Gerald Tuinder; a brother, Earl Ellenbaum. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Norman Baumgartner, officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dexter Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the Worlein Funeral Home.
