Brim Sr widow of former chairman of state Democratic Executive Committee died Thursday night. Brim died about two years ago. 18 March 1954 Dallas Morning News Obituary: Mrs. J. L K Brim Sr. Sulphur Springs, Texas Final rites for Mrs. J. K. Brim Sr, 59, widow of the former chairman of the state Democratic Execuitive Committee were conducted in Sulphur Springs Saturday. Dr. Donald H. Morgan, Sulphur Springs, Dr. Wallace Bassett, Cliff Temple Baptist Church, Dallas, officiated. Mrs Brim was born Carrie James, daughter of Mr [Former State Senator] and Mrs C. O. James in Sulphur Springs. She was prominently identified with church, civil and policitical endeavors here. Survivors inclulde Mrs. Robert Dinhardt of Arbuckle, CA, and a son, J. Kearney Brim, Jr of Houston.
