Bonnie Walenta Floyd, 75, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, in Dale, Texas. She was born on May 6, 1934, to John James and Norabell (McCarty) Martin in Bastrop County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her first husband Adolph Walenta; son, Jimmie Walenta; granddaughter, Heather Perry; and brother, Andy Martin. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Floyd; her children: Billy Walenta (Joyce), Rose Perry (Edward), Johnny Walenta, Shirley Kenney (Steve) and Annette Puryear (Raymond); daughter-in-law, Joanne Walenta; siblings: Ruby Phillips, Annabelle Martin and Edward Martin; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Family received friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel in Lockhart, Texas. Interment will follow at Bunton Cemetery in Dale, Texas.
