Bio

"Marshall [was] murdered Saturday night January 13, 1917. [He] wasn't discovered until the following Saturday about 1 o'clock Jan 20th. A big snow fell beginning at 11 o'clock Sunday the 14th and fell all day. Covered everything 7 inches deep. Melted Wednesday through Thursday. Couldn't search much until after snow began melting. Was buried Monday January 22, 1917 in West Dallas cemetery. Was born September 8,1887." Source: Personal Journal of his sister, Susie Marie Bryant Broyles
