ABILENE, TEXAS REPORTER NEWS OBITUARIES (excerpt) -- 15 FEB 2010: "Nelta Jean Scott West Sellers, 68, of Abilene, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 and was carried away by the angels to be with Jesus. Services will be Tuesday, February 16 at 2:00P.M. at Baker Heights Church of Christ with burial in Elmwood Memorial Cemetery in Abilene. Jean was a member of this congregation since 1968 living in Abilene for 49 years. Nelta Jean Scott was born in Rosebud, Falls County, Texas on Monday, 13 October 1941, the daughter of Theo Franklin Scott, Sr. and Maggie Mae McHood. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her late husband of 43 years, Albert Ray West; 2 brothers, Robert Sidney Scott & Glenn Leroy Scott-Hamilton, 1 sister, Lela Ozell Scott Carpenter, and grandson, Thomas Joshua West. Jean is survived by her 2nd husband, _____ Sellers of Abilene; a son, a daughter; 1 grandson; 3 grand-daughters and 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; 1 brother; and 1 sister. Funeral Arrangements under the direction of Piersall-Benton Funeral Home, 733 Butternut Street, Abilene, Texas."
