Bio

Betty Marie Conway Griffith left this earth on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. She has entered her eternal place of rest with her Savor, Jesus Christ. He prepared her mansion and the saints in heaven have awaited her arrival. Betty will never again have to experience darkness; no more night, never another pain or tear, for the Father has welcomed his child home. Betty, Peanut, was born on January 7, 1952 to Adrian and Dorothy Conway in Pilot Point, Texas. Betty attended and graduated from Aubrey Independent School District. She worked for Victor Equipment Company for thirty-eight years. She enjoyed her job and cared deeply for those she worked with. On August 26, 1984, Betty married her true love and soul mate, Richard Griffith. The ceremony and reception were held at Carver Ranch, Aubrey Texas in the mist of family and friends. The couple lived on Carver Ranch until they moved to Aubrey approximately five years ago. The couple recently celebrated twenty-six wonderful years of marriage. Betty loved life, people, animals, jewelry, and most especially her family. Her mother Dorothy and sister Bobby were her best friends. Richard and Betty enjoyed their lives and appreciated the little things that add up to be the sum of their time together. Their union was one that was blessed of God. The memories of many happy times together will give peace to those of us that grieve, but we do not grieve as those without hope, for we know the gift of life that Betty accepted. This time apart is only a temporary separation for those who know and love the Lord. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Richard Griffith of Aubrey, Mother Dorothy Conway of Aubrey, sister, Bobbie Arrington of Aubrey, brother, Billy Conway of Nocona, step daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Rusty Cobb, and her precious grandchildren Danielle and Jackson of Wichita Falls. Many other relatives and friends remain behind to carry the memory of Betty on in their everyday lives. We will smile when we remember Peanut and her warm loving way. She never complained about what she was going through, but professed her faith by saying it is all in God's hand. We will remember your faith, Betty, and live each day knowing that God cares for each of us. Her father, Adrian Conway, preceded Betty in death. The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Home for visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010. The memorial service and celebration of Betty's life will be held at Krugerville Baptist Church in Aubrey on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Pastor Dan Sparkman and Sam Redfearn will officiate over the memorial service. Pallbearers will be Timmy Robinson, Tommy Robinson, Gary Starr, Sam McNatt, Joe Redfearn, and David Byrom. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey.
