Bio
Mary Jane Newsome, 99, of Aztec, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, in Aztec. Mary was born Aug. 8, 1910, in Mount Vernon, Texas, to Colonel Foster Davis and Texie Pyne Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton R. Newsome; and three grandchildren, Jeff, Keith and Edith. She is survived by daughters, Maxine (Montia) Whitaker and Dardis (John) Whitaker; five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Carrington officiating. Those wishing to send condolences may do so at www.danielsfuneral.com.
