Bio
Son of Anton Wessel and Antonette Zwiener. He attended St. Bernard Catholic School in rural Lindsay. He lived in the Cornlea community and retired to Humphrey in 1985. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and of the St. Francis Catholic Church. Survivors include brothers-in-law, Emmert Wegener of Columbus, Gerard (Romanna) Preister of Columbus, and Donald Anderson and Arlene of California; nephews, Richard (Robin) Wegener, Stephen Wegener, Randy (Sharon) Wegener, Jerry (Loretta) Wegener, Mark (Sandra) Wegener, Alan (Carolee) Preister, Dan (Diane) Preister, Tim (Cathy) Preister, and Mike (Norma) Preister; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerry and sister-in-law Agnes Wessel; and sisters, Rita Wegener, Mary Anderson and Imelda Preister.
