MANHATTAN --- Ena Fern Kidd, 96, Manhattan, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at a Manhattan retirement center. Mrs. Kidd was a licensed practical nurse in the 1950s. She was born Feb. 19, 1906, in Everest, the daughter of Raliegh T. and Dora Belle Hardin Weaver. She graduated from Wakefield High School. She lived most of her life in Milford, Wakefield and Junction City before moving to Manhattan five years ago. Mrs. Kidd was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school, Bible study and was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. She married Clifford Howard Kidd on Jan. 8, 1925, in Milford. He died Sept. 27, 1972. Mrs. Kidd also was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Kidd. Survivors include three sons, Howard P. Kidd, Manhattan, James W. Kidd, Kimball, Neb., and Norman L. Kidd, Highland, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Junction City. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Junction City. Mrs. Kidd will lie in state from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, where visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday.
