Bio

Daughter of John and Anna (Sedlacek) Brtek. She was born and raised in Prague. She married Anton M. Navrkal on Jan. 7, 1936, in Prague. After she married, they farmed near Linwood. She worked in various restaurants in the area and also in the kitchen at North Bend Grade School. Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 1, 1957. She moved to North Bend in 1958. She was a member of the First Catholic Slovac Association at Cedar Hill Branch 55. She also was a member of the Catholic Workman, St. Charles Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society and was very active in the North Bend Senior Center. Survivors include: three daughters, Lorraine (and husband, Norman) Gerrard of Fremont, Geri (and husband, Myron) Anthony of Omaha and Beverly (and husband, Michael) Brabec of Morse Bluff; sister-in-law, Rose Pospisil of Fremont; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild & spouses; Rick Gerrard, Chad Anthony , Mick Brabec, Rod Rogers, Jeff VanNortwick, Rich Lahti, Becky Gerrard, Allyson Gerrard, Shane Gerrard, Ranae Rogers, Brendan Simmons, Travis Sund, Kelsie Rogers, Deanna Rogers, Brenda Brabec, Amy Sund, Mya Mae Sund, Jay Anthony, Kim Simmons, Karrie VanNortwick, Brock Rogers, Rhonda Lahti, Brooke VanNortwick, Richie Lahti, Kaylee Lahti, AnnMarie Anthony, Kassie Brabec & Kaitlyn VanNortwick. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Navrkal ;three brothers, Louis, Edward & John Brtek and three sisters, Rose Lanik, Ludmila & Blanche Brtek.
