OBITUARY Mrs. Mollie Jolliff Vinyard was born August 17, 1901, near Spencer, Okla., and departed this life Sunday morning, August 23, 1936, at the age of 35 years and 6 days. She was the eldest of a large family of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jolliff who for many years resided in this community. Her mother passed to the Great Beyond several years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. She was married in April, 1920, to James Vinyard of near Jones. To this union was born 10 children, 8 of whom survive; two died in infancy. "Molly" as she was familiarly called by everyone in and around Choctaw was a good wife and mother, and to know her as the writer has since her girlhood was to love her. She possessed a kind and loving disposition and was well liked and was held in high regard by everyone who knew her. Her untimely death in the midday of life brings a gloom to this community and especially to those with whom she was so intimately associated. How our hearts go out to those eight children she left behind and Oh how much they will miss "mother" in the long days and months ahead. No one knows, but let us pray to God that his kindness and loving care may be ever around about to care for a them and guide them and smooth the rough places in life for them to go through and may they all live that when their time comes to leave this world of sorrow and trouble they will be prepared to meet their God and their sweet mother on the other shore where partings are unknown.
