Mrs.Wm Kovar and youngest son attended funeral of her grandmother. Hugo Srb visited parents. (Frank J. Srbs) John Miller and family were here last Friday to attend the funeral of Grandma Srb. March 27, 1919 Mrs. B. Malec returned to her home at Benson after a few days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Srb. (Malecs are the people that were involved with Peony Park in Omaha. Amusements etc. and dance hall for a number of decades.) _______ Information that was sent to me by Ardath Srb in the 1980s. Most if not all this is true but keep in mind this is what she is remembering after several decades of being away from Dodge and thinking about her grandparents family. Mrs. Jos. Faltin - Fannie, I think was her name, and it seems to me she was older than Dad (Joe). They lived on a farm and visited us when they came to town. I remember their children Annie (I think)(probably Mary) who was about sister Mary's age, Jos, Rudy, and maybe even a Mrs. Vogltanz or Vogeltance whose relationship I never did know. I think they may have had a daughter who married a Duerst(?) and died, leaving two daughters, Viola and Marianke for Aunt Fannie to raise. I hardly remember Uncle Joe because he never came over like the others. I remember visiting Aunt Fannie at Nicholas Seen Hospital in Omaha when I lived close by. She was recovering from an operation and got well. I don't know when she died. Katie Hubenka - I think she may have lost her first husband and then married Hubenka. (JCH - a note I have is probably he Mr. Hubenka was married twice.) If this is correct, some of her children were half brothers and sisters. There was a Joe Hubenka who was gassed in the 1st World War, then returned and lived for years with his wife Henrietta as sort of a half-asleep person. For all I know, maybe all the children took the name Hubenka. I'm sure, (Josie), I think, that Albin, Blanche and Lloyd had the same father. I vaguely remember that Grandma Srb lived with Hubenkas when they lived on the outskirts of town. (Dodge) Mrs. John H. Miller - I wrote about them in my letter. Uncle John and Dad lost their money in the bank that August Miller, Uncle John's brother, sold to Dad............. After that, Uncle John and family moved to Schuyler, I think, and started a bakery. From then on, It's a blank.
