Bio

The Malvern Leader 6 March 1975 Held Last Rites For Pearl Clark Daisy Pearl Pierson, daughter of Robert and Ella Pierson, was born near Henderson on Jan. 14, 1878, and passed away at Red Oak, on Feb. 23, 1975. She obtained her education at the neighborhood country school, Fairview, and was graduated from the Henderson high school as a member of the first graduating class, that of 1898. She later attended Tabor College at Tabor, Iowa. On Jan. 1, 1902, she was united in marriage with John R. Clark. They made their home on the farm where the remainder of their lives was spent. To this union three daughters were born: Vera, Mrs. Ben Dittus; Hazel, Mrs. Boe Houser; and Edna, Mrs. Leon Wiegman. She was preceded in death by her husband John and daughter, Hazel Houser. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church and a charter member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Women. She is survived by her daughters, Vera and Edna, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Wesley Chapel Church Feb. 25, at 2 p.m., the Rev. David Nolte officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. E. L. Meyer; caring for the flowers were Mrs. Ben Wilson and Mrs. Wm. McGrew; and Mrs. Don Godfrey tended the registry book. Casket bearers were Don Godfrey, Ben Wilson, Everett McGrew, Harold Wilson, Herbert Stephens, and Lorance Lisle. Lynn Parker and Russell Asell were ushers. Interment was made at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
