Joyce Ann Carter Wilbanks, age 64, of Monticello, passed away Friday, August 1, 2008, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was born February 6, 1944, in Monticello, AR to the late Moten Carter and Willean Tiner Carter. She was employed by the University of Arkansas at Monticello Agriculture Research Center and was a member of the Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was watching and following Professional Bull Riding. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Vanoy Wilbanks of Coleman; two sons, Tiger Wilbanks and wife, Patsy, of Vilonia and Christopher Carter Wilbanks and wife, Johnnie, of Rogers; her daughter, Lisa Dillard and husband, Alan, of Bryant; her brother, Paul Carter and wife, June, of Bentonville; two grandsons, Cater Wilbanks of Rogers and Tyger Lane Wilbanks of Vilonia; five granddaughters, Lea Ann Grieb and husband, Aaron, of Little Rock, Allison Weaver of Rogers, Mercedes Dillard of Bryant, Alex Dillard of Bryant and Tori Wilbanks of Vilonia; and many friends and relatives. Funeral services were held August 3 at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Buddy Lemons officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Springs Cemetery by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello. Memorials to: Webb-Carter Scholarship Fund at UAM or Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Active Pallbearers: Olin Tucker, Larry Flemister, Kenneth Burton, Kelly Bryant, Ken Smith and Cliff Coker. Honorary Pallbearers: Eddie Flemister, Eric Flemister, W.J. McKiever, Brett Burton.
