Corley William Olin "W .0." Corley, 84, of Blackwell, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Blackwell with the Rev. James Wilcox and the Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Shep Cemetery directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Mr. Corley was born west of Blackwell in Nolan County on his family's farm and graduated from high school in Blackwell. He had lived in Nolan and Taylor counties all his life. He was a retired grocery store owner in Shep and later was a self-employed carpenter. He was responsible for building several of the Stuckey's around the nation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell and a member of Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. W.O. (Margrette) Corley of Blackwell; two daughters, Billye Myrhl Corley Grisham of Big Spring and Irma Dell Lewis of Potosi; two stepsons, James D. Sparks of Buffalo Gap and Charles L. Sparks of San Antonio; two step-daughters, Shirley Kirkland of Abilene and Betty Bailey of Llano; a brother, George Kay Corley of Shep; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605, or to the First Baptist Church, Blackwell, Texas.
