Bio

Orval J. Allen, 79, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at Ellensburg General Hospital following a cerebral hemorrhage at his home early Tuesday. He was born in Surgionville, Tennessee and came to Ellensburg in 1923, farming in the Badger Pocket District until his retirement from farming in 1940. He has made his home at 404 S. Pearl St. for the last ten years. Allen is survived by three sons: Jack Allen of Ellensburg; L. D. Allen of San Francisco and Frank Allen of Seattle; three daughters; Mrs. Mike Rossetti, Cle Elum; Mrs. Frank Richards, Bellevue, and Mrs. Barry Johnson, Ellensburg; six grandchildren and two sisters; Mrs. Etta Watterson, Rogersville, Tennessee and Mrs. Effie Fancler, Churchill, Tennessee. Funeral service will be held at Evenson Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Silas Erickson officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery. Ellensburg Daily Record, March 3, 1960
