Santa Fe New Mexican, The (NM) - October 11, 1994 Gladuys D. Shockey, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Oct. 10 1994. She is survived by a son, Robert L (Bob) Shockey of Santa Fe; two daughters: Mary H. With and husband, Jack of Albuquerque, and Ava L. Williams and husband, Robert of Santa Fe; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Velma Hohlbein of Mountin View, Calif., and Jewel Wellman of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester L. Shockey, and three brothers: Carl, Jack and Frank Dean. Mrs. Shockey spent her early years growing up in Moriarty, and she lived in Santa Fe until 1954. She was a deacon at First Presbyterian. Church, a member of PEO Sisterhood Chapter L. and Easter Star, ADAH Chapter. She was a credit manager at Horn Oil Co., retiring after 14 years. Services will be Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque, with Dr. Paul R. Debenport officiating interment will follow at Sunset Memorial park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. in lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to: Manor Care, Camino Vista, 7900 Constitution NE, 87110, or First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. French Mortuary , 1111 University Blvd. NE.
