Bio

Son of Andrew and Rose M. (Vyhlidal) Kucera. He attended school at District 78 in Butler County. He farmed in Saunders County, then at Schuyler and later near Linwood. He was a lifelong musician. He formed the Schuyler Czech Mates Band and played with many other bands on piano, button accordion and the organ. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler, the Knights of Columbus Council 2716 at Schuyler, the Fraternal Order of Eagles at Schuyler, the Historical Society at Schuyler, David City Community Heritage Club and the Western Fraternal Life Association Lodge 9 at Morse Bluff. Survivors include a sister, Rosie (and husband, Ray) Stranik of Linwood. He was preceded in death by his parents.
