Wife: Margaret Pauline Menzdorf, married December 20, 1923, Hamilton County TX Marriage Records, Bk. 8, page 332. Parents: John Lucas and Emma Heugather. Obituary (The Hamilton Herald-News, September 22, 1992.) Gerhard John Lucas, 96, died Sept. 14 at Forest Oaks Nursing Home, Hamilton TX. Services were held Sept. 16 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shive with Pastor B.I. Diahl officiating. Burial was at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Lucas was born Sept. 30, 1902 in Falls County, the son of John and Emma Heugather Lucas. He was a retired farmer and lived most of his life in Hamilton County. He was married to Margaret Pauline Menzdorf, who preceded him in death, July 4, 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Hurley of Dallas; two grandchildren, Gary Dee Hurley of DeSoto and Donna Baker of Flower Mound; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Dee Hurley and Lynsey Lee Hurley, both of Desoto.
