Bio

Mrs. Ouida Shanks Justice, age 92, of Mesquite, Texas passed away December 6, 2005, at Anderson Nursing Center in Grand Saline, Texas. She was born August 8, 1913, in Foote Community, Texas to John Frank and Letha (Duncan) Coggins. She worked in the dry cleaning industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her son, Johnny Shanks and wife, Marion of Mesquite, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry C. Shanks in 1948 and her second husband, Austin Justice in 1991; sons, James Shanks in 1978 and J.D. Shanks in 2000. Her sister, Lois Burnside also preceded her in death. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2005, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating. Mrs. Justice will lie in repose on Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
