SERVICES TUESDAY FOR MRS. STERN Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren for Mrs. Sarah E. Stern, 79 of Beaverton, who died Sunday at her home. The Rev. R. H. Nicodemus and the Rev. E. S. Hollinger officiated as the services and burial was in the Dale cemetery. Serving as pall bearers at the funeral were Clarence Carpenter, Eldon Witkovsky, Alfred Wolfe, Leland VanDyke, George Riley and Earl Rau. Mrs. Stern was born in Indiana on March 26, 1864. Her husband Daniel M. Stern, preceded her in death 12 years ago. Surviving are six sons, Oscar E., George E., Charles V., Harry E., Roy E., and Jacob L. Stern; and two daughters, Mrs. Alva L.
