Services Held Monday For Mrs. Francis Neely Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Francis Neely, 61, were held at 0:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, in the Church of Christ. Officiating were Jesse Wade, minister, and Tom Anderson, minister of the Wellington Church of Christ. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home. Mrs. Neely was born Feb. 10, 1915, in Hall County. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Neely, her brother, Melvin Blum, and her father, Henry Blum. Mrs Neel passed away Friday, March 12. Survivors include: two sons, Gayle Gilreath of Memphis and Rodney Joe Neely with the U.S. Army in Germany; one daughter, Mrs. Eddie Gable of Memphis; her mother, Mrs. Henry Blum of Memphis; a brother, Jackie Blum of Lakeview; a sister, Mrs. Vonda Faye Wyatt of Norfolk, Va., and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Orville Goodpasture, L.E. Hughs, Monte Alewine, Dwain Elleerd, WM. Davis, Mackie Allen, Bobby Dick Hutcherso and Corky Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Memphis Volunteer Fire Dept.
