Rowlett, TX 75088 Melinda Kay Yates, age 52 of Kaufman, TX, passed away December 3, 2009. She was born May 22, 1957, in Dallas, TX, to Albin F. and Pauline (Valigura) Vrana. Melinda was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. She worked at Graphic Solutions Group in Dallas for 18 years. Melinda was married to Danny R. Yates on June 14, 1980, and they shared a wonderful life. She was devoted to her home and family and will be dearly missed. Melinda is survived by her husband: Danny Yates of Kaufman; sons: Zachary Yates and wife Renee of Scurry, TX, and Timothy Yates and wife Doddie of Kaufman; parents: Al and Pauline Vrana of Sunnyvale, TX; brothers: Michael and Karen Vrana of Spring, TX; Mark and Pam Vrana of Royse City, TX; Greg and Tammy Vrana of Lexington, KY; and Bryan Vrana of Sunnyvale; sisters: Teresa and Steve Fletcher of Hillsboro, TX; Kimberly and Tommy Yates of Scurry, TX; and Laura and Scott Stoecklin of Kaufman; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Monday, December 7, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall with Father Duffy Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm.
