James and Anita Manion DENTON (TNS)---James Kevin and Anita Jean Manion, both 26, of 701 Old Cheney Road, Denton, died Thursday morning of smoke inhalation in their home. Services for both will be at 11am Monday in Westminster United Methodist Church at Minden with the Rev Nolan Pierce officiating and at 2 pm Tuesday in Congregational Church at Hemingford with the Rev Bob Brauninger officiating. Burial will be in Hemingford Cemetery. Mrs Manion was born and raised at Minden and graduated from Minden High School. She was employed at Lincoln Telephone Company at Lincoln. Mr Manion was born and raised at Hemingford and graduated from Hemingford High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was a Certified Public Accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company, at Lincoln. He was loan executive for the United Fund at Lincoln, past director of Lincoln Jaycees and a member of Nebraska Society of CPAs. They were married July 15, 1978 in First Christian Church at Minden. Surviving are his parents, Mr and Mrs Joe Manion of Hemingford and her parents, Mr and Mrs Dick Hoskins of Minden; his brothers, Tom and Ron of Hemingford; his sisters, Jodine Sorensen of Hemingford, Diane Harrison of Omaha and Carolee Koehn of Scottsbluff; His grandmothers, Mrs Mae Manion of Alliance and Mrs Pauline Guy of Mesa Arizona; her brothers Richard of the Air Force and Steven of Minden; and grandparents, Mr and Mrs George Ricker of Minden and Mr and Mrs Loren Hoskins of Portland, Oregon. Layton Funeral Home of Minden is in charge of arrangements at Minden and Bates-Landa Funeral Home of Alliance is in charge of arrangements at Hemingford.
