Moreece Sellers Johnson, 91, a native of Longville, La. and a resident of The Woodlands, Texas, died Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Regent Care in The Woodlands, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church where she joyfully worked alongside her husband, Pastor Lonnie E. Johnson, for over 35 years. Moreece will forever be remembered as a kind and loving lady that was a helper to many and a wonderful Christian Lady. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kershaw and husband Tommy of Spring, Texas; three grandchildren, Karen Champagne, Candace Roberts and husband Tate and Hevyn Allen and husband Richie; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lula Cooley Sellars; her loving husband of over 59 years, Rev. Lonnie E. Johnson; one son, Rev. L. E. "Eddie" Johnson; two brothers, Albert Sellers and Elijah Sellers; two sisters, Irene Hodges and Lorena Yellott. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2010 and from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Calvary Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will be at Calvary Pentecostal Church at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2010 with the Rev. Marvin Hicks, Bishop "Jabo" Green and Bishop Delbert Herrin officiating. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, La.
