Bio
Loving, adored, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23. Dolores Ann Knight was born on November 20, 1931 in Blessing, Texas to Matthews and Bertha Hendley. She married the love of her life, John Carl Knight on April 8, 1949. She is survived by: her sons, Monty and wife Beverly of Gainsville, GA., Chuck and wife Judy of Dawsonville, GA., Johnny and Donna of Pecan Hill; daughters, Gina and husband Doug Baker of Red Oak, Lisa and Brad Johnson of Keller; twenty one grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Jo Munns of Wills Point, Norma Holt of Terrell; brother, Dan Hendley of Canton. She is preceded in death by her husband, son (LeJon), daughter, Janice McClanahan, mother and father, and brothers, Wardo, LaRue and Carter Hendley. When God called her to His kingdom she was surrounded by her children. The family wishes to thank Human Touch Health Care, VNA Hospice, Carolyn, Diana and Lynn, Dr. Jason Nordstrom, MD, and staff as well as all of those who cared for Dolores during her illness. Interment will follow in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in DeSoto, TX.
