Marvin Sylvester Hacker, 94, died at 1:10 p.m. January 8, 2010, Lincoln. He was born November 4, 1915 in Liberty, Texas, to Arthur and Louise Froelich Hacker. He married Lilly L. Edmonston on July 3, 1939 in Sealy, Texas. He is survived by his wife, a son, Marvin Warren (Alice) Hacker, a daughter, Maureen Janice "Marty" (Herman) Wibben, a sister, Wilmuth (Edwin) Hamilton, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. His parents and four brothers, Dan, Bert, Leonard and Roy, two sisters, Dorothy Crotwell and Thelma Markum preceded him in death. Mr. Hacker retired from Ceco Steel, where he was general superintendent of concrete forming operations at Oakbrook, Illinois, Corporate Headquarters and also participated in the construction of the Panama Canal.
