On Sunday afternoon last the community was saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Frank (Jenny Bailey) Clark of this city. The deceased was taken ill about three weeks ago with flu. Pneumonia set in from which she suffered until the time of her death. The real cause of her death however, was heart failure. She passed away at her home at about 1:30 Sunday afternoon: Mrs. Clark was born at Emmetsburg, Iowa: March 14, 1883 at the time of her demise was 38 years, 11 months, and 16 days of age. She came with her husband to Wibaux about ten or twelve years ago and lived on a farm north of town. Her husband died about three years ago at Glendive of Influenza and was buried at that city. Since then Mrs. Clark and children have been making their home in Wibaux. The sad circumstances which surround this home is the fact that five children (John Howard Clark, Daisy Belle Clark Powers, Frank Austin Clark, Mary Adelaide Clark Rathbun, Edward David Clark) the eldest of which is 14 years and the youngest three, are "left orphans". The children were taken to Glendive to remain with relatives. The oldest boy is confined at their home in this city with the flu. The remains of Mrs. Clark were taken to Glendive by a brother-in-law and the funeral was held Wednesday. The body was placed beside her husband, which was her last request. She leaves to mourn her loss five children, two sisters Jesse Meyers and MayBelle Clark and a mother (Mary Bailey). The Pioneer-Gazette extends its sympathy in the sad loss of a living mother, daughter and sister: I believe she died March 2, 1922. SOURCE: Wibaux Pioneer Gazette dated March 2, 1922 March 9, 1922 Mother: Mary Myrtle Wilgus *Obituary and additional information submitted by Jenny's granddaughter Rose Dodd. *Note by Rose, "I have no infomation on where she is buried. Agnes ( the lady that did the research for me checked with the cemetery people in Glendive and Wibaux. The sextons or caretakers said they did not have a record of her burial. My Uncle Fred Clark said that he remembered when his mother died that her body was placed on a door taken out a window. He remembers her being buried next to his dad, Frank Edward Clark. They do have a record of Frank Clark's burial but not Jenny's". ---------
