Daughter of William Benson "Billy" and Mary Elizabeth Jane Mintz Gilbert. Married James Henderson "Jim" Hill July 1, 1900 in Parker Co., TX. Mother of Carrie, Albert Edward, Walter Alfred, Oscar S., and Louis M. Hill. Weatherford Democrat, April 27, 1971 Ada Ellen Hill, 87, of Baytown died Tuesday morning in a Mineral Wells hospital. She was born in Parker County and was a former resident of the Soda Springs and Millsap communities. She was a member of the Millsap Baptist Church. Her husband, Jim H. Hill died in 1957. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. H. W. Carter of Baytown; two sons, Oscar Hill of Mineral Wells and Walter Hill of Baytown; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Speight of Handley; six brothers, Bide Gilbert of Weatherford, Bob Gilbert of Lipan, Mel Gilbert, P. D. Gilbert, Deal Gilbert and John H. Gilbert all of Santo. Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Thursday in White's Chapel of Memories with Rev. Jimmie Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in City Greenwood Cemetery with White's in charge.
