DeArman Funeral Home webposted Lucille Smith (January 2, 1920 - January 5, 2010) Lucille was born in Okla. City, Oklahoma to Marvin & Bessie(Yeaman) Hitchcock. She passed away Tuesday January 5, 2010 at Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years and 3 days. Lucille grew up in Okla.City; graduating from Classen High School. She then attended business school and worked for Ralph O. Wright at the OKC Stockyards for many years. Lucille was married to James A. Smith on Jan. 29, 1944 in Okla. City. They moved to Sulphur in 1962 and owned the Ben Franklin Store from 1962-74. Lucille was a member of Sulphur United Methodist Church and U.M.W. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband on Feb. 4, 1980; son: James R. Smith on May 15, 1994; 2 brothers & 3 sisters. Survivors: Daughter & son-in-law: Susan & Paul Burton of Wynnewood, Step-son: Carroll Smith of Oklahoma City, Grandchildren: Sharla Lunday, John & Todd Burton, Great grandchildren: Abbey, Georgia, Erin, Anna, Joe & Kieran, step-great grandchildren: Nathan & Ethan. Services: Monday January 11 at 11:00 AM at the Sulphur United Methodist Church with interment in Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City at 3:00 PM.
