Jack W. Sullivan, 83, attended school in Woodson and Ranger Jr. College. He married Martha Faye Lane on 30 May 1944 in Roby, Texas. He served in the US Army during World War II with Company L, 36th Division, having reached the rank of Staff Sgt. His company was involved in the landing in Salerno, Italy. He received the Purple Heart for grenade wounds during the siege of Mt. Cassini Monastery. He and his wife had lived in the Crystal Falls community for the past 48 years on a stock farm bordering the Clear Fork of the Brazos River. He was a pecan enthusiast, taking great price in his budded pecan trees and raiser of Black Angus. Jack was a devoted family man and took great pride in his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He was a firm believer in wildlife conservation and was devoted to his dogs, Annie and Pearl. He had great faith in God, his fellowman and his country. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Chruch. Survived by wife; son - Dr. Mike Sullivan of Blackville, SC; three grandsons; sister - Essie Bowman of Mammoth, AZ; nieces, nephews.
