Joe H. Laza, age 77 of Ennis died Friday evening, Feb. 17, 2006 at Claystone Healthcare Center. He was born on Sept. 18, 1928 in Ennis to Joe E. and Albina Laza.Joe married Geraldine Krajca on February 3, 1948. He is survived by 4 children, Carol Gilmore, Doris Godwin, Jimmy Laza and his wife Elaine and Dennis Laza and his wife Lisa all of Ennis; one brother, Wesley Laza of Corsicana;7 grandchildren, Billy W. Story, Jr., Stephanie, Justine and Jacob Godwin, Jimmy Laza, Jr., Scott Laza and Kelsey Baker and two great grandchildren, Marissa Godwin and Hannah Laza. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Geraldine on May 22, 1992 and son-in-law, Buzzy Gilmore. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 A.M. on Monday, February 20, 2006 at St. John Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.
