Bio

Funeral services were held at the Lovins Funeral home in Windsor on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for James Thomas Gustin. The service was in charge of Rev. W.B. Hopper and burial was made in the Greenhill cemetery in Sullivan. Mr. Gustin passed away suddenly of a heart attack last Wednesday evening, Jan. 14 at his home in Windsor. He was born Aug. 20, 1870 and came to Illinois at the age of four years. He has always made his home here with the exception of two years spent in Iowa. He was married to Erma Sentel who preceded him in death Dec. 12, 1939. Surviving are five children, Kenneth and Coleman of Windsor, Dale of Morris, Byron of Chicago and Mrs. Norma Jean Wempen of Moweaqua; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sade Clark of Sapupia, Okla., and one brother, A.W. Gustin of Kirksville. Moultrie County News-January 23, 1948.
