Dorothy Justine Brown, 82, of Arlington passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at a hospital in Arlington. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Blvd., Arlington. Justine was born in Nolan on April 9, 1927, to Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Jones. She married Bill L. Brown, a World War II veteran, in 1944 and they made their home in Snyder, where she was a successful real estate broker. Mrs. Brown considered her most significant role in life to be that of devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, R.B. and Geneva Jones; her husband, Bill L. Brown; her brother, Victor Jones; and her son-in-law, Don J. Hampton. Survivors: Daughter, Cheryl L. Hampton of Arlington; granddaughter, Kellie Bick and her husband, Greg, and their children, John, Waren, Peyton and Jacob of Midland; and granddaughter, Paige Bick and her husband, John, and their children, Halle, Haiden and Kenedi of Arlington.
