Irene Frances James Nesbitt, 89, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 1, 2010, at a local healthcare center. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Irene was born Sept. 17, 1920, and is the daughter of Lee and Jessie James of Fort Worth. She graduated in the first June class from Riverside High School. She attended NTAC, now UTA Arlington. She was a former member and church secretary of Richland Hills Christian Church. Irene retired from Birdville Independent School District as secretary to the superintendent. Survivors: Husband, Harold N. Nesbitt, married just two weeks short of 67 years; sons, Hal Nesbitt and wife, Chay, Roddy Nesbitt and wife, Linda, Gary Nesbitt and wife, Brenda; daughter, Sissy Purdy and husband, Rick; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
