Bio
Norbert Vincent Blazek, age 72, of Dallas passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 at his home in Dallas. He was born June 6, 1935 in Austin, Texas to Louis and Louise Blazek. Norbert graduated from St. John Catholic School in 1953 and in 1955 he married Pauline Marusak in Ennis. He was a member of the KJT, the SPJST, Knights of Columbus, and an officer for WFLA and RVOS. Norbert and Pauline had been King and Queen for the Ennis Polka Festival. He had coordinated Czech Days at the State Fair of Texas and had been the accordionist for the Texas Czech Folk Singers. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Blazek of Austin and Cynthia Suarez and her husband, Rick of Red Oak; one son, Michael Blazek and his wife, Connie of Irving; five grandchildren, Sarah and her daughter, Mekenzie, Alicia and Nicholas Suarez, Dean Patch and Joshua Blazek; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Norbert was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Blazek in 1998. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie with Father Michael Guadagnoli as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in DeSoto.
