He married Hattie Mae Garrett about 1933. Herald- Times Yoakum Newspaper" Dec.10, 1997.Services were at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jack Boelens officiating. William was a farmer and a cattle brand inspector for Wharton County. He served in the U.S. Army during world War II, in the European Theatre and received a campaign medal with four bronze stars for bravery.
