Bio

Juanita Hill Edwards, age 88, of Waxahahcie, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie. She was born March 1, 1920 in Ellis County to George Hill and Effie Crow. Juanita married Henry Howard Edwards on March 11, 1939. She was a life long member of the College Street Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia "Pat" Cox and husband, Jimmy; one son, James Edwards and wife, Deborah all of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Kristi Cox Cockerham and husband, Stephen of Ovilla, Kyle Edward Cox and wife, Jessica, Amy Reed and husband, Greg, Jeffrey G. Edwards and Carma Colston and husband, Chad all of Waxahachie; six great-grandchildren, Kate, Maggie and Emma Cockerham, Preston and Kayleigh Cox and Austin Reed. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Henry Howard Edwards on March 19, 1999, and two brothers, Wannie Lee Hill, and Faye Hill. Funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Mr. Walter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain Peak Cemetery.
