Bio

Marcus Hanus, age 72, passed away in Ennis on August 29, 2008. He was born in Ennis on December 9, 1935 to Bill and Rosalee (Kubala) Hanus. He was a graduate of Ennis High School and attended North Texas State University. Marcus was a gifted musician and performed at civic and charitable events, taught private piano lessons in Ennis for over 30 years, and wrote a column called "The Music Box" in the 1980's for the Ennis Daily News. Marcus was always fascinated with and did extensive research on Egyptian History. He truly loved his cats. He is survived by his Aunt Alice Cameron and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 P.M Friday, September 5, 2008, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, September 6, 2008 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
