SPEAKMAN, Dorothy M. (Aper) 81, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec 27, 2009. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on Nov 8, 1928, the daughter of Walter S. and Marie E. (Brown) Aper. Dorothy was a very devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed bingo and camping. She retired as a contract negotiator with33 years of service at WPAFB. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Edward and Leroy Aper; granddaughter Heather Speakman; nephew Paul Aper, and son in law Jim Morris. She has left to cherish her memory, her husband of 64 years Estle Speakman, daughter Sharon Morris, son and daughter in law Keith (Debbie) Speakman; grandchildren Wade (Tami) Haney and Doug (April Skelton) Haney, Greg Speakman, Amber Speakman, and Angie (Gerald) Lawson; great-grandchildren Ashley, Justin, and Josh Haney; sisters in law Donna Maine and Connie (Paul) Dunn; and her little four legged buddy Dusty. A gathering of family and friends will be Wed from 5-8 pm in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. William Reisenweaver officiating. Entombment to follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
