An obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, December 24, 1970: Mrs. Nina Timmons, 64, of Lamesa died last Friday in Lamesa. She was a former resident of Gatesville. Funeral services were held in Lamesa Saturday. Graveside rites were held at 10 a. m. Sunday in the Turnersville Cemetery with Rev. B. E. Latham officiating and Scott's in charge.
