Joplin Globe(Joplin, Missouri) Sunday, May 28, 1922 Combs Mrs. J. W. Combs, 68 years old, died Friday morning in Kansas City. She resided at Saginaw many years, going to Kansas City a month ago for medical treatment. Surviving are two sons, Charles E. Combs of Great Bend, Kan., and J. R. Combs of Joplin, and three daughters, Mrs. Laura Lewis and Mrs. Ruth Middleton of Joplin, and Mrs. Emma McElfish of Mulberry, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 330 o'clock Monday afternoon in the chapel of the Hurlbut Undertaking Company. Burial will be in Saginaw cemetery. note this is exactly how obit was written- 330 instead of 3:30
